EDHS stands for Ethiopian Demographic and Health Survey. It is a comprehensive household survey conducted periodically to gather data regarding the demographic and health characteristics of the Ethiopian population. The survey aims to provide information on various key indicators related to fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, nutrition, and other relevant health indicators.
The EDHS is carried out by the Central Statistical Agency (CSA) of Ethiopia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. It employs a multi-stage cluster sampling methodology to ensure representative results at both national and regional levels. The survey collects data through face-to-face interviews with women and men of reproductive age, along with collecting anthropometric measurements, biomarkers, and other relevant health data.
